HolidaysMemorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day ,Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day shall be paid at double the regular hourly rate. There shall be no work on Labor Day except to protect life or property. If one of these holidays falls on Sunday, Monday will be observed as a holiday If one of these holidays falls on Saturday, Friday will be observed as a holiday

Specialty TrainingThe U.B.C. is serious about training and so is Carpenters Local 144. We have two well trained and experienced instructors in our local and Southeastern Training Trust can be depended on to provide any other instructors we may need. We conduct an average of two up-grade classes per month. We can meet most request for specialized training if the need arises.
